A complete editor example combining an incoming Twitch raid with an ordered welcome, ad snooze and music pause.
context.raid-response · 2.8.0
Requirements and availability
Use the matching SheevChat version.
Picker contexts: automation.
Behavior
One Incoming raid automation runs three actions in sequence. Keep the trigger ad-window filter off so it does not suppress the entire response. Optional action-level ad gating affects only the snooze.
Configure in the app
Open: Bot → Automations → + New
Before opening a new editor, optionally choose + New Category in the relevant Bot tab, enter Category name and click Save. In the editor choose that Category, or leave Uncategorized. Categories organize items; they do not filter stream categories or events.
Initial fields
- Name
- Incoming Raid Response
- Category
- Raids (create with + New Category first), or Uncategorized.
- Enable automation
- Off while configuring; turn on and save when ready.
Steps
- Connect the Twitch broadcaster account with ad-management access. Have an available ad snooze. Confirm which music source is active: Pause song controls SheevChat song playback or its configured Spotify mode; it does not pause every desktop music app.
- Open Bot > Automations. If desired, choose + New Category, enter Raids in Category name, and Save. Click + New.
- Set Name to Incoming Raid Response. Set Category to Raids (or Uncategorized). Switch Enable automation off while preparing.
- Open When: Trigger category = Raids; Trigger event = Incoming raid. Set Minimum viewers (0 = any) to 0; Only if next Twitch ad is within minutes (0 = off) to 0; Cooldown (seconds) to 0. Keeping the trigger ad filter off lets the response and music pause run even if no ad is imminent.
- Open Where: Platform = Twitch. Ad snoozing is Twitch-only; use a separate automation for other raid providers if required.
- Open Do. Choose Chat Bot Commands > Send chat message > Add action. Expand its card. Set Message to Thanks for the raid, {user}! Welcome {viewers} raiders! Set Send to to Same platform as event.
- Choose Stream Platform Commands > Snooze upcoming Twitch ad > Add action. Set Only if next ad is within minutes (0 = always) to 0 to attempt a snooze for every raid. Optionally use 5 to skip only the snooze action when the captured next-ad schedule is outside five minutes or missing; leave the trigger filter at 0.
- Choose Music Controls > Pause song > Add action. Leave Send chat response off unless a playback confirmation is wanted. Leave its output Platform at Same platform as event.
- Use Move action up / Move action down to keep Send chat message, Snooze upcoming Twitch ad, Pause song in that order. One raid starts all three in sequence, without adding a delay. They are not simultaneous or transactional; failures are logged and later automation actions continue.
- Click Create Automation. Reopen it and verify the saved fields and order. When ready, turn Enable automation on and click Save Changes.
- During live UAT, receive an eligible Twitch raid while music is playing and an ad snooze is available. Expect the welcome message, an attempted snooze and paused playback. Check platform results/logs as well as the UI. A synthetic event cannot prove Twitch permissions or delivery.
