Acceptance
By downloading or using SheevChat, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What SheevChat Is
SheevChat is a free Windows desktop application that aggregates live chat from Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and TikTok into a single unified interface. It is provided free of charge, with no subscription or account required.
Use of the App
SheevChat is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use SheevChat to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Violate the terms of service of any connected platform (Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok).
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users via the chat send functionality.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract secrets from the application or the OAuth relay at auth.sheevchat.com.
- Use the OAuth relay (auth.sheevchat.com) for any purpose other than authenticating the SheevChat desktop application.
- Automate or script interactions with platform APIs beyond what the app provides.
Third-Party Platforms
SheevChat connects to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, and Spotify using their public APIs and OAuth systems. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms of service. SheevChat is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of those companies.
Spotify
SheevChat uses the Spotify Web API solely to display your currently playing track in a now-playing overlay. The user-read-currently-playing scope is the only scope requested. SheevChat does not control playback, access your library, playlists, or listening history. Track data is fetched in real-time, displayed locally, and never stored or transmitted. Your use of Spotify through SheevChat is subject to Spotify's Terms of Service.
TikTok
SheevChat uses TikTok OAuth solely for account authentication and identification — to confirm which TikTok account is connected and display your name in the app. The scopes requested (user.info.basic and user.info.profile) are used exclusively for this purpose. SheevChat does not post content, send messages, or perform any actions on TikTok on your behalf.
TikTok live chat is read using an open-source library that connects to TikTok's public live stream infrastructure. This functionality is provided as-is and may break if TikTok changes its infrastructure. TikTok chat is read-only — SheevChat cannot send messages to TikTok.
Auto-Update
SheevChat may download and install updates automatically. Updates are distributed via GitHub Releases. Your existing configuration and credentials are not affected by updates — they are stored in AppData and survive app updates.
Donations
SheevChat includes an optional Ko-Fi donation prompt. Donations are entirely voluntary and processed by Ko-Fi. No features are locked behind payment. The donation prompt can be permanently dismissed within the app.
No Warranty
SheevChat is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Platform API changes, WebSocket disconnections, or other external factors may affect functionality at any time. We make no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of SheevChat are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access to platform accounts, missed chat messages, or any indirect or consequential damages.
Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of SheevChat after changes constitutes acceptance. The "last updated" date above will reflect any revisions.
