Acceptance
By downloading or using SheevChat, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What SheevChat Is
SheevChat is a free Windows desktop application that aggregates live chat, events, moderation tools, bot commands, loyalty features, text-to-speech, and OBS browser sources across Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, and Spotify. Core features are provided free of charge, with no subscription or account required. Future AI-powered features may be offered as part of an optional premium subscription; this will not remove the free tier.
Authorized Use of Connected Accounts
You may connect only accounts and channels you own or are authorized to manage. If you connect a bot account, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use it on the relevant channel. You are responsible for the moderators, bots, trusted users, commands, aliases, permissions, and credentials you configure within SheevChat.
Commands and Moderation
SheevChat can send chat messages and perform real moderation and channel-management actions on connected platforms using the authorization you grant — including bans, timeouts, message deletion, raids, chat-mode changes, moderator/VIP changes, and stream title/category updates, depending on the platform. These actions have real consequences on the connected platform. You are responsible for reviewing command permissions, cooldowns, and authority levels before relying on them live, and for any consequences of commands or automations you configure. Platform APIs and event feeds may be delayed, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable; some Kick events rely on a legacy/undocumented connection that may change or stop working without notice.
Third-Party Platforms
SheevChat connects to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, and Spotify using their public APIs and OAuth systems, and optionally to Nightbot, StreamElements, Streamlabs, and Moobot as one-time, user-initiated migration sources. Your use of those platforms remains governed by their own terms of service, community guidelines, and developer policies. SheevChat is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of those companies unless expressly stated. Platform access, API scopes, rate limits, event availability, and undocumented interfaces can change at any time without notice, and SheevChat may need to disable or modify an integration in response.
Spotify
SheevChat uses the Spotify Web API to display your currently playing track in a now-playing overlay and to allow basic playback control (play, pause, skip, seek). The scopes requested are user-read-currently-playing, user-read-playback-state, and user-modify-playback-state. SheevChat does not access your library, playlists, or listening history. Track data is fetched in real-time, displayed locally, and never stored or transmitted beyond fetching artwork from Spotify's CDN. Your use of Spotify through SheevChat is subject to Spotify's Terms of Service.
TikTok
SheevChat uses TikTok OAuth solely for account authentication and identification — to confirm which TikTok account is connected and display your name in the app. The scopes requested (user.info.basic and user.info.profile) are used exclusively for this purpose. SheevChat does not post content, send messages, or perform any actions on TikTok on your behalf.
TikTok live chat is read using an open-source library that connects to TikTok's public live stream infrastructure. This functionality is provided as-is and may break if TikTok changes its infrastructure. TikTok chat is read-only — SheevChat cannot send messages or run bot commands through TikTok.
StreamElements, Streamlabs, Nightbot & Moobot Migration Tools
SheevChat includes optional, user-initiated tools to export loyalty points, commands, quotes, timers, and watchtime data from StreamElements, Streamlabs, Nightbot, and Moobot for one-time import into SheevChat. These are convenience tools, not guaranteed services or ongoing integrations — once data is imported, SheevChat does not maintain a continuing connection to these services. You are responsible for reviewing the preview shown before committing any import, and for keeping independent backups of your source data before using these tools. The Streamlabs export method is explicitly experimental, relies on a user-supplied session cookie and unofficial endpoint, and may stop working at any time. You acknowledge that supplying a StreamElements JWT, Streamlabs session cookie, or Nightbot OAuth authorization to SheevChat grants the app the ability to act with that level of access against your account on your behalf, for the sole purpose of the requested export, and that you are solely responsible for safeguarding those credentials.
Loyalty Points, Watchtime, Quotes, Counters & Giveaways
Loyalty points and similar virtual balances tracked by SheevChat have no cash value, are not transferable outside the behavior you configure within the app, and are not guaranteed to persist — you are responsible for backing up this data if it matters to you. Watchtime is an estimate based on available chat and presence signals; it is not platform-certified or verified viewing time. If you operate a giveaway using SheevChat's giveaway tools, you — not SheevChat — are the sponsor and are solely responsible for official rules, eligibility, disclosures, prize fulfillment, taxes, winner selection, and compliance with applicable law and the rules of any connected platform. Commands such as !gamble and !duel use virtual points only and must never be represented as real-money gambling or used where prohibited by law or platform policy.
Local Text-to-Speech
SheevChat's text-to-speech features may use your operating system's built-in voices, or optional local AI voice engines (Piper and Kokoro) that you can choose to install. Voice quality, pronunciation, performance, and hardware requirements vary by engine and by your device. These engines are provided as-is; SheevChat does not guarantee specific output quality or availability of any particular voice.
User Content and Third-Party Content
You retain responsibility for chat, command responses, quotes, imported data, alert sounds, overlay content, and any other content you configure or display through SheevChat. You grant SheevChat only the limited local permission needed to process and display that content and to take the platform actions you request. Third-party emotes, badges, artwork, Spotify metadata, and platform content remain subject to their owners' rights and the relevant provider's terms. Receiving a public chat message through SheevChat does not grant you any right to commercially exploit or republish it outside the context of managing your own stream.
Prohibited Use
You may not use SheevChat to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, or the terms of service of any connected platform.
- Gain unauthorized access to accounts, steal credentials or tokens, evade bans, harass, spam, or engage in fraud or deceptive engagement.
- Use commands or moderation tools against a channel you are not authorized to manage.
- Circumvent platform rate limits, security controls, or access revocation.
- Scrape, profile, sell, or repurpose viewer data beyond legitimate channel operations and the permissions granted by the relevant platform.
- Upload or play audio or other content without the necessary rights to use it.
- Operate loyalty points, giveaways, or gambling-style commands in a way that violates platform rules or applicable gambling, sweepstakes, contest, consumer-protection, tax, or age laws.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract secrets from the application or the OAuth relay at auth.sheevchat.com, or use the relay for any purpose other than authenticating the SheevChat desktop application.
Updates and Scope Changes
SheevChat may download and install updates automatically. Updates are distributed via GitHub Releases. Your existing configuration, credentials, and local data are not affected by ordinary updates — they remain in your application-data folder and survive app updates. When an update adds new platform permissions, SheevChat may require a one-time local sign-out and reauthorization for the affected platform; reconnecting grants the scopes shown on that platform's consent screen, and you may decline by not reconnecting.
Availability and Disclaimers
SheevChat and its integrations are provided on an as-available basis. Chat delivery, moderation actions, events, text-to-speech, automatic updates, data migration tools, and any undocumented platform interfaces may fail, be delayed, or become unavailable at any time for reasons outside SheevChat's control. You should keep independent backups of any command, quote, counter, points, or watchtime data that matters to you. StreamElements and Streamlabs migration tools are convenience features — always review the preview and keep your source data until you've confirmed a successful import.
Termination, Revocation & Local Data
You can disconnect any platform integration and revoke SheevChat's access at any time, both within the app and directly through each platform's own account settings (see the Privacy Policy for direct revocation links). Uninstalling SheevChat may not automatically delete your application-data folder, installed TTS models, cached audio, exported files, local database, or any backups you've made — see the Privacy Policy for manual deletion instructions.
Donations
SheevChat includes an optional Ko-Fi donation prompt. Donations are entirely voluntary and processed by Ko-Fi. No features are locked behind payment. The donation prompt can be permanently dismissed within the app.
No Warranty
SheevChat is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Platform API changes, WebSocket disconnections, undocumented interface changes, or other external factors may affect functionality at any time. We make no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of SheevChat are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of local data, loss of access to platform accounts, missed or delayed chat messages, unintended moderation actions, giveaway disputes, failed data migrations, or any indirect or consequential damages.
Changes
We may update these terms at any time, particularly as new features or integrations are added. Continued use of SheevChat after changes constitutes acceptance. The "last updated" date above will reflect any revisions.
