🎛️ Creating a SheevPad Control Panel

SheevPad turns actions into buttons you can press from SheevChat or a paired phone or tablet.

Buttons can control OBS or Streamlabs, launch games, control music, roll Credits, create Twitch clips, change Windows audio, and run installed Marketplace app actions.

For help combining actions, see Action Builder and Action Sequences.

Opening SheevPad

  1. Click SheevPad in the SheevChat header.
  2. The SheevPad window and editor will open.
  3. Click Add Button to create your first control.

Creating a Button

  1. Enter a clear Name, such as BRB Scene.
  2. Leave Group set to Ungrouped, or select a group.
  3. Choose a Color.
  4. Optionally choose a Background Image.
  5. Make sure Enabled is turned on.
  6. Add one or more actions.
  7. Click Test.
  8. Click Save Button.

Enabled buttons are visible and runnable from Mobile / Tablet Light.

Adding Actions

  1. Choose an action category.
  2. Choose the action you want.
  3. Click Add action.
  4. Complete the action settings.
  5. Add more actions if the button should do several things.

Actions run in numbered order from top to bottom.

Example: BRB Button

Name: BRB Scene
Action: OBS Studio Control
Operation: Switch scene
Scene: BRB

OBS buttons require OBS WebSocket under Settings → Connect; see How To Connect and Control OBS Studio. Streamlabs Desktop buttons use their own connection and action category; see How To Connect and Control Streamlabs Desktop.

Example: End Stream Button

A single button could:

1. Switch OBS to the Ending scene
2. Roll Credits
3. Stop recording

Test multi-action buttons before using them live.

SheevPad can also Change Master Overlay or Trigger Alert. Create the saved overlay or Alert Preset first, then select it in the button's Action Builder.

Note: SheevPad only shows actions that support buttons. Some Automation or Timer actions, such as Pause / wait, may not be available.

Organizing Buttons with Groups

  1. Click Add Group.
  2. Enter a Group Name, such as OBS, Music, or Games.
  3. Click Save Group.
  4. Edit a button and select the group from its Group menu.

Use the ↑ and ↓ controls to reorder buttons or groups. Groups can be expanded or collapsed.

Deleting a group does not delete its buttons. They return to Ungrouped.

Create Mobile Navigation Buttons

Navigation buttons change the visible SheevPad group in Mobile / Tablet Light instead of running actions:

  1. Add or edit a SheevPad item.
  2. Set its kind to Navigation.
  3. Choose Target group, Next group, Previous group, or Favorite group.
  4. Select the destination when using Target group.
  5. Give the button a clear label, then save it.

To use Favorite group, edit a group and mark it as the favorite first. Navigation buttons are intended for Mobile / Tablet Light and contain no Action Builder sequence.

Button Images

  1. Edit a button.
  2. Click Upload Images to open the Media Library.
  3. Upload the image you want.
  4. Return to the button and select it under Background Image.
  5. Click Save Button.

Preview and Mobile Layout

Expand Preview at the top of the editor.

  • Mobile Mode: Buttons displays a button grid.
  • Mobile Mode: List displays a compact list.
  • Button Size changes the size of mobile controls.

Managing Buttons

  • Test runs the selected button without leaving the editor.
  • Duplicate copies a button and its actions.
  • Enabled controls whether it appears on mobile.
  • Delete permanently removes the button.
  • ↑ / ↓ changes its position inside the current group.

The SheevPad editor and popout follow the global app theme selected under Settings → General → Themes and Accessibility. Custom button colors and images remain unchanged.

On/Off buttons remember their current state between launches. Use them when one press should enable something and the next should disable it, then give both states clear labels or colors.

Press Ctrl+K from the main app and search for a saved SheevPad button or group to jump directly to it.

Common Problems

  • Button does nothing: Confirm it is enabled, saved, and has an action.
  • OBS or Streamlabs action fails: Test the matching connection under Settings and refresh that provider's scene/source catalog.
  • Imported action fails: Test its connection under Marketplace → Installed Apps.
  • App does not launch: Recheck its selected executable or launcher game.
  • Actions run in the wrong order: Move them with ↑ / ↓, then save again.
  • Favorite navigation does nothing: Mark one saved group as the favorite.
