Importing Data from Other Bots

SheevChat can import commands, timers, quotes, and other supported data so you do not have to rebuild everything manually.

Note: Streamlabs import is experimental. Create a SheevChat backup before importing or replacing existing items.

Import Your Data

  1. Open Bot Commands → Data Manager → Data Migration.
  2. Expand the service you are moving from and follow its download or upload instructions.
  3. Click Preview before importing.
  4. Select the items you want to keep.
  5. Review conflicts and choose whether to keep the existing SheevChat item or replace it.
  6. Click Import, then test imported commands and timers.

Imported items retain a source badge so you can identify where they originated. Supported sources include StreamElements, Nightbot, Moobot, Streamlabs, Streamer.bot, and SheevChat backups.

Migrate from Nightbot

Use the Nightbot section in Data Migration to connect or load the supported source data. SheevChat can preview supported:

  • Custom commands
  • Timers
  • Twitch Center quotes
  • Default-command settings
  • Moderation filters
  • Blacklist groups

Review individual items rather than importing the entire account blindly. The preview separates conflicts, duplicates, unsupported settings, and invalid entries. Import is additive and repeat-safe: existing SheevChat data is preserved unless the preview explicitly offers and you choose a supported replacement decision.

After importing, review command permissions/platforms, timer intervals, moderation patterns, and quote attribution before using them live.

Import a Quote Library

For quote-only migration, open Bot Commands → Data Manager → Quotes and choose Import from the Quotes toolbar. The preview-first importer accepts SheevChat and third-party JSON, wrapped or string-list JSON, header-based CSV, plain-text lists, and saved StreamElements quote data.

Valid quotes are added without trusting imported IDs as SheevChat quote numbers. The preview separates duplicates from invalid rows before anything changes. See How To Add, Import, and Manage Quotes for formats, numbering, deletion, and safe import steps.

Import from Streamer.bot

  1. Keep Streamer.bot running on the same computer.
  2. Expand Streamer.bot in Data Migration.
  3. Select Commands, Timers, or both.
  4. Click Download Selected Data.
  5. Preview the saved items, resolve conflicts, and import them.

SheevChat preserves links to matching Streamer.bot actions when Streamer.bot exposes them. Imported commands can then run their original action by ID without installing a separate Streamer.bot Action Library. Keep Streamer.bot available whenever those linked actions need to run.

Import Tips

  • Import a few items first and test them before migrating everything.
  • A preview does not change your current data.
  • Imported variables are converted where supported, but complicated responses should still be reviewed.
  • A source badge identifies an item's origin; it does not mean the original service is still connected.
  • Use How To Back Up, Export, and Restore SheevChat Data for full SheevChat backups and restores.
