🖥️ Dual PC Setup

SheevChat makes dual PC streaming simple by automatically generating the correct local network URLs for your overlays, docks, and browser sources.

Recommendation: Run SheevChat on your primary (gaming) PC whenever possible. This keeps your settings and integrations centralized while allowing your streaming PC to connect over your local network.

Host PC Setup

  1. Launch SheevChat on your host PC.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Select the Sources tab.
  4. Under Source Mode, select Local PC.
  5. All overlay and dock URLs will automatically update for local use.

Second PC Setup

  1. On your second PC, navigate to Settings.
  2. Select the Sources tab.
  3. Change Source Mode to LAN / Second PC.
  4. All browser source URLs will automatically update to the following format:
http://sheevchat-YOURLOGGEDINUSERNAME.local:PORT
⚠️ You must be logged into at least one streaming platform for the .local hostname to be generated.
  1. Copy the generated URLs into your broadcasting software (such as OBS) on your second PC.
  2. Your overlays, docks, and other browser sources will now connect directly to your host PC over your local network.

Notes

  • Settings automatically stay synchronized between both PCs.
  • Browser sources on the second PC will always point to your host PC.
  • ⚠️ If SheevChat TTS is enabled, audio may play through your browser source if browser audio is enabled in your broadcasting software.
  • If your network or port changes, simply reopen the Sources tab to retrieve the updated URLs.
