🎂 Birthday Shoutouts

SheevChat can automatically celebrate a viewer when they chat on their birthday.

Prerequisite: The viewer must first use !setbirthday with the date order selected under Settings → General → Display → Birthday Date Format. This can be MM-DD / MM-DD-YYYY or DD-MM / DD-MM-YYYY. Including the year allows SheevChat to use age variables in the shoutout.

Creating the Automation

  1. Navigate to Bot Commands.
  2. Select Automations.
  3. Click New.
  4. Enter a name such as Happy Birthday.
  5. Choose a category, or leave it Uncategorized.
  6. Set the Trigger Event to Viewer birthday.
  7. Leave Platform set to All platforms, or choose a specific platform.
  8. Leave the cooldown at 0 unless you want additional time between birthday shoutouts.

The automation fires once per stream session when a viewer with a saved birthday chats on their birthday.

Send the Birthday Shoutout

  1. Under Actions, select Chat Bot Commands.
  2. Select Send chat message.
  3. Click Add action.
  4. Enter the birthday message you would like SheevChat to send.

Example

Happy birthday, {user}! 🎂 Show them some love in {platform} chat! {agemessage}
  1. Leave Send To set to Same platform as event.
  2. Click Create Automation.

Birthday Variables

VariableDescription
{user}The viewer celebrating their birthday.
{platform}The platform where the viewer chatted.
{birthday}The viewer's saved birthday.
{birthdayAge}The age the viewer turns, when a birth year was provided.
{agemessage}A complete age message, such as They turn 35 today!

If the viewer saved only their month and day, {birthdayAge} and {agemessage} will be left blank.

The {birthday} value follows the currently selected Birthday Date Format.
