How To Find and Start Raids
Raid Finder helps you discover and review live Twitch or Kick channels before starting a raid.
Open Raid Finder
- Connect the platform you want to raid from.
- Click Raid Finder in the main header or responsive More tools menu.
- Choose Twitch or Kick.
Raid Finder uses the connected broadcaster account and the platform capabilities available for that provider.
Choose Filters
Select at least one meaningful discovery filter beyond language. Available filters can include:
- Category
- Language and tags
- Mature-content preference
- Viewer and follower ranges
- Stream uptime
- Relative audience size
- Follow or relationship filters where the platform supports them
- Channels previously observed in local raid history
Multiple selected categories are treated as alternatives. Use narrower ranges when the result set is too broad.
Raid Finder can add your current stream category automatically. If you remove that suggested category manually, it stays removed instead of returning on every refresh. A genuinely new stream category can still be suggested later.
Review Results
Sort the results and load more when available. Each result shows useful channel and stream details plus why it matched the search.
Before raiding:
- Preview the stream.
- Confirm its category, language, audience, tags, and mature-content status.
- Open the final target review.
- Confirm the raid only when the channel is appropriate for your audience.
Discovery filters are aids, not endorsements. Always review the live stream yourself.
Understand Raid History
SheevChat records incoming and outgoing raids it observes while the app is running. This history is local to SheevChat and is not a complete platform raid history.
Twitch and Kick histories remain separate even when channels have similar names.
Common Problems
- No results appear: Add a category, audience range, tag, relationship, or another meaningful filter and confirm the platform is connected.
- A relationship filter is missing: Some filters are provider-specific or require account permission/data the platform does not expose.
- The current category is wrong: Refresh Raid Finder after changing the stream category.
- A channel is absent from history: Only raids observed or started while SheevChat was running are included.
- Raid cannot start: Confirm the broadcaster connection and permissions, then review the selected target again.
