How To Manage Filtered Accounts
Filtered Accounts prevents bots, alternate accounts, and service accounts from affecting selected SheevChat features.
Add an Account
- Open Settings → Filters → Filtered Accounts.
- Choose a platform, or choose All to match that username everywhere.
- Enter the account's username.
- Turn on each area where the account should be ignored.
- Add the account and confirm it appears in the list.
Each saved account has independent filters for:
- Overlay — hides its chat messages from the chat overlay.
- TTS — prevents its messages from being read aloud.
- Automations — stops its activity from triggering automations.
- Commands — ignores every command or only selected commands and aliases sent by the account.
- Points — excludes it from passive Loyalty Points earning.
- Giveaways — prevents it from entering giveaways.
You can edit these toggles later without removing and recreating the account.
Add an Account from a User Card
Click a message or a viewer in the main Viewer drawer to open that account's User Card. Choose Add to Filters to open Filtered Accounts with the correct platform and canonical username prefilled.
SheevChat does not silently enable any filter scope. Review the account, turn on only the areas that should ignore it, and then save.
Block Selected Commands
Enable the account's Commands filter, then choose its command scope:
- Leave the command list empty to block every command.
- Add command chips to block only those commands and their aliases.
Use command search to find built-in or custom commands. Known-user suggestions can help fill usernames already seen by SheevChat. Review each account's collapsible card before saving so a selective block is not accidentally left as an all-command block.
Platform Scope
Use a specific platform when the username should only be filtered on Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or TikTok. Use All only when the same username should be ignored across every connected platform.
Platform matching matters: filtering ExampleBot on Twitch does not automatically filter an account with that name on YouTube.
Mark Automated Accounts as Bots
The Bot tag is separate from feature filtering. Tag an automated account as a bot when it should remain visible or usable elsewhere but must not be selected by random-viewer variables. Removing the tag makes the account eligible again; it does not change any saved feature filters.
Common Setups
- Chat relay bot: enable Overlay, TTS, Automations, Commands, Points, and Giveaways to prevent loops and false activity.
- Personal test account: filter Points and Giveaways while leaving Commands available for testing.
- Service account: filter Automations and Points, then enable other scopes only as needed.
Troubleshooting
- Enter the username, not its display nickname or channel URL.
- For TikTok, prefer the unique
@usernamesupplied by its User Card rather than the display nickname. - If filtering does not work, confirm the saved platform matches the incoming message.
- A scope only affects that named feature; it does not ban or mute the account on the streaming platform.
- If too many commands are blocked, confirm whether the command list is empty; empty means all commands.
- Remove the row when the account should participate normally again.
