How To Connect TikTok LIVE and Send Chat

SheevChat can receive TikTok LIVE activity and send chat through a locally managed TikTok browser session.

Connect TikTok

  1. Open Settings → Connect → TikTok.
  2. Sign in with the TikTok account that owns the channel.
  3. Complete the browser login or verification if TikTok requests it.
  4. Start your TikTok LIVE.
  5. Click Connect.

TikTok must expose an active LIVE before SheevChat can attach to its chat. The connected card shows the account and current state.

Enable Auto Connect

Turn on Auto Connect if SheevChat should quietly check for your LIVE and connect when it becomes available.

  • Offline checks remain silent.
  • Polling resumes after a LIVE ends.
  • Clicking Disconnect pauses automatic reconnection for the current app session.
  • Clicking Connect again clears that pause.

Send TikTok Messages

TikTok can receive supported messages from:

  • The SheevChat message box
  • Built-in and Custom Command responses
  • Timer chat actions
  • Automation chat actions and delayed messages
  • SheevPad Send chat message actions
  • Trivia questions and results

TikTok must be explicitly enabled for the Command, Timer, Automation, or action. Existing All platforms configurations do not silently add TikTok.

Custom Commands can run their supported Advanced Actions for TikTok messages. Timers can also run their complete supported action sequence in saved order, not only their chat response. Provider-specific actions still require the matching provider and connection; for example, a Twitch Clip action cannot create a TikTok clip.

SheevChat sends through a bounded queue and waits for TikTok to echo the message as confirmation. It does not automatically retry an unconfirmed message, which helps prevent duplicates.

TikTok messages containing a URL or link-like hostname are skipped. SheevChat shows a local notification instead of opening the send browser or retrying the message.

Use link-free TikTok versions of promotional responses:

Browser Session Behavior

The managed TikTok browser normally stays hidden and releases its burst sender after about 30 seconds of inactivity. A new short burst can start it again when needed. It appears only when login or verification needs your attention.

Do not close a visible verification window until the requested step is complete. SheevChat retains its local browser session between normal launches.

Watchtime, Lurk, and User Cards

TikTok viewers can use !watchtime, !lurk, and !unlurk when those built-in commands are enabled. Watchtime uses stable TikTok identity and appears in Bot Commands → Data Manager.

Click a TikTok chat message or Viewer-list row to open its User Card. The card can show the display name, unique @username, avatar, roles, user ID, and profile link. Use Add to Filters to prefill that account in Filtered Accounts; review and enable the desired filter scopes before saving.

TikTok's latest confirmed live viewer count remains visible between intermittent room updates and clears when the LIVE ends or TikTok disconnects. Seen TikTok users remain separately labeled as session history. See How To Understand Viewer Totals and Seen Users.

Test the Connection

  1. Connect while live.
  2. Send a short link-free message from SheevChat.
  3. Confirm it appears once in TikTok and SheevChat.
  4. Test one enabled Custom Command from another account.
  5. If using Auto Connect, confirm a later LIVE is detected without pressing Connect.

Common Problems

  • LIVE is not found: Confirm the connected TikTok account owns the active LIVE and wait for Auto Connect's next check.
  • A browser window appears: Complete TikTok's login or verification request.
  • Message is skipped: Remove links and hostname-like text.
  • Command works elsewhere but not TikTok: Enable TikTok on that command and keep its response link-free.
  • Manual Disconnect reconnects later: Restarting SheevChat begins a new session; turn off Auto Connect if it should remain disabled.
