How To Install and Use Marketplace Chat Games

Marketplace chat games add their own commands, settings, and management tools without building one game's rules into SheevChat.

Install a Game

  1. Open Marketplace from the SheevChat header.
  2. Select the Games category or type filter.
  3. Open a game and review its publisher, permissions, compatibility, dependencies, and changelog.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Open Installed Apps, select the game, and resolve anything marked Needs attention.

Only install packages from publishers you trust. Each game defines its own rules, data, commands, limits, and rewards.

Configure and Enable It

  1. Open the installed game's settings or management panel.
  2. Review its access rules, stream limits, command names, and any required connection or dependency.
  3. Save the settings.
  4. Open Bot Commands and find the protected category created by the game.
  5. Enable only the commands you want viewers to use, then review their permissions and cooldowns.

The package supplies declarative rules, settings, help sections, and command descriptions that SheevChat renders in its standard game management card. Game packages cannot inject arbitrary management code. Follow the publisher's documentation for game-specific rules and administration.

Marketplace command names and aliases can be customized from their installed command cards. SheevChat built-ins have first priority, followed by Custom Commands and then Marketplace commands. A game uses its package fallback name when a preferred command is already owned.

Test Before Going Live

Use a test account or a low-impact command first. Confirm that:

  • The intended platform is enabled
  • Permission and cooldown rules work
  • Results appear in the expected chat or presentation
  • Repeated messages do not award or spend twice
  • Stream limits and resets behave as described by the package

Update or Remove a Game

Use the Marketplace Updates filter to review a new version before installing it. Retest important commands after updating.

Removing a game deletes its installed package files and unregisters its commands. Current SheevChat game state remains retained for a later reinstall; a package cannot run uninstall code or independently delete host-managed game tables. Keep normal backups for recovery from database loss or an intentional future data-removal tool.

For general package health, dependencies, local imports, and removal behavior, see How To Find, Install, and Manage Marketplace Packages.

Common Problems

  • The game does not appear: Clear Marketplace filters, select Games, and confirm the package supports your SheevChat version.
  • Commands are silent: Enable the installed command category and check its platform, permission, and cooldown settings.
  • The game needs attention: Open Package Details and resolve the listed dependency, permission, connection, or compatibility issue.
  • A rule is unclear: Check the package's description and publisher documentation; SheevChat provides the runtime but does not define each game's rules.
  • A command name changed: Open the installed command card to review its effective trigger, aliases, and any collision-safe fallback selected by SheevChat.
